The 17-year-old actress will be joining costars the Jonas Brothers plus several other of her cast mates on the road in their first Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam themed tour. First stop: Chicago, Illinois!

Demi recently dished to JJJ about sacrificing the social fun for sleep while on tour. She shared,

“That’s where the no sleep part comes in. It’s when you should be sleeping but you’re like, ok I need a balance. I need to see my friends or else I’m going to go crazy. Luckily, I’m spending this tour with my friends so I’m not gonna be too homesick. But when there’s days off it’s nice to get out, go shopping. But then again it’s also nice to just go to bed. It is nice to sleep all day.”

Demi Lovato isn’t rushing the release of her third album. She told Yahoo: ‘I’m just writing it now. When I went into it I totally wanted to do something completely different. Then I started straying back to where I was going, so I don’t know. But I definitely want it to be more mature than the last record.

All of my records have been kind of rushed. This one I’m really taking the time with & not putting it out after month of making it.’ Demi has recorded a Spanish song for the album and promised not to change her image too much when the record is released.

Demi Lovato is delighted to sign an autograph for a fan as she visits North Point Mall in Atlanta over the weekend as part of the Shop Til You Rock Tour.

JJJ reader Meghan writes to us, “My friends and I went to the mall at 7 and were some of the first few people in line. We were lucky and waited inside, while hundreds of fans had to wait outside. When she walked in, everyone screamed. She went over to do an interview and then came up on stage to talk to us. Demi had a blonde moment and didn’t know what to respond when the lady asked her about the sponsors, but we still love her.”

“My friends were in front of me, so I was the last one to meet her out of my group. They let about 5 special needs kids go in front of me and meet her. One of the kids was SO excited, and the bodyguard behind her started tearing up. She is such a great person, and even more beautiful in person. Her other bodyguard, well her uncle, was really nice too. He and I chatted while they were getting their pictures taken. We weren’t allowed to take pictures beyond a certain point, but they let my mom take pictures of us while we were talking to her.

“We waited around until she was done, and she got mobbed. My friend Ansley said that Demi held her hand for a while as she was walking away. It was crazy. She took a break and people followed her to a door that led to a hallway and a bunch of rooms. Everyone thought she was going to come back out that way, but she came from a completely different direction. When came out, stood on the door and said, ‘Thank you guys so much!!.’ She waved, got in the car, and it pulled off. It was probably the best day of our lives. Thank you SO much Demi. We love you!”

In May, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato broke up. And in August the “Camp Rock” co-stars will embark on a tour together. It’s hard to imagine many things more awkward than hitting the road with your ex of three months … so is Joe nervous?

“Demi has been a friend of mine for a long time,” Joe told Ryan Seacrest when he called in during the host’s KIIS-FM “On-Air With Ryan Seacrest” radio show on Friday (July 23).

“I think that our friendship is so strong that it surpasses a lot of things, and I think touring will be a lot of fun,” Joe said.

Plus, Joe added, the former lovebirds recently saw each other at VH1?s Do Something Awards and they’ve “definitely been cool.” Their encounter at the awards show “was short and quick,” Joe admitted, before adding that the two plan to spend some quality time.

“[We're] trying to get together and hang out before we go on tour together,” he said.

While the good vibes between the ex-couple may come as a relief to some, other JoBros fans may be excited to hear that Joe wants to fly solo for a while.

“I’m just a single dude about to go on tour,” he said about his next relationship move. “I’m excited about it. I’m finally going back on the road,” he added. “It’s been way too long. We’re finally getting back on the road … and I hope people come out.”

In other Joe news, the singer told TVGuide.com that he’d love to score a guest turn on CBS’ “CSI,” following pop stars Justin Bieber and (Joe’s ex) Taylor Swift. (The middle Jonas is set to make a guest appearance on TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland” on August 11.)

“I think ‘CSI’ is cool — to be a murderer, or to die. I’ve always been intrigued by those shows,” he shared. “As an actor, it’s always fun to push the limits to what you can do. I’ve never gone out of the box with it, so that would be a lot of fun for me.”

Demi Lovato told E! News that her fans should not expect a drastic change in her image with the release of her third album, similar to the change Miley Cyrus fans saw in their beloved “Hannah Montana” star when she released her most recent album “Can’t Be Tamed.” Here’s what Demi had to say:

I don’t think it’s going to change my image, not drastically. It’s going to be what you’re seeing of me right now. It’s going to be very Demi. It’s more mature. It’s definitely grown up, but in a classy way.
